Get To Know Sunshine & Bullets
There's a nip in the air and just a hint of danger as daylight breaks.......in the cold, hard city , you are careful as you never know who you may run into. It's all fun & games until she smiles and then it's just..............

Do you like melodic hard rock? Maybe a feel such as a cross between Lacuna Coil & Amy Lee with Evanescence? If so, you had better check out Sunshine & Bullets while you can.

Give me a little history behind SUNSHINE AND BULLETS. Where are you from? How did you meet? How long have you been together?
We started in 2010 with just 3 of us (Amanda, Rich, and Kyle) in Tampa, FL. We were all in different bands at one point or another, but never all together, until Amanda decided to bring Rich and Kyle together. In Kyle's living room, we all improvised a bunch of songs and the musical chemistry was a hit! We quickly started gigging and writing music, releasing 2 full albums in hard copies and 2 digital EPs in between. We just never stopped moving, and gained momentum that way. In 2014, we brought in Sam Brown to play bass, and Amanda took up the 7 string guitar. We did this to get a fuller, heavier sound, with more potential for melodies and counter-melodies.

What is the meaning behind the name SUNSHINE AND BULLETS?
It's influenced by the Dada art movement, with an irrational name that is loaded with multiple unclear meanings. However, there is also this yin and yang-ness about Sunshine & Bullets that rises through the clutter when you stop thinking about it.

How would you classify your style?
Anti-hipster melodic hard rock.

Who are your musical inspirations?
We pull inspirations from a variety of places, but video game music will always be #1. It has to be catchy, but you have to be able to listen to it for hours on end, so it also has to be addicting.

Have you released any albums or EP's?
Yes! 2 full albums and 2 EPs. Our latest album, Triangulum Mechanism, has 20 tracks and we put a lot of cool guitar sound effects in there. Amanda's favorite guitar effect sounded like an "underwater space organ" found in the song "...go".

What is your favorite song to perform and why?
The Mechanism. It is mostly improvised, so it evolves every time we perform it. The Mechanism you hear at our next show will not be the same Mechanism you will hear in 3 months.

What do you want people to get from your music?
We want to break hearts and glue them back together again. Music has the power to evoke strong emotions, and also the power to heal. We're harnessing both.

What are your goals in the Music Industry?
Everyone says the music industry has either been broken or changed. It's just business, and the industry is at the bottom of the music-market crash. The industry is too afraid to take chances right now, so they just promote the same sounding bands and artists, so all we have is a bunch of bland copy-cats. But... we're not scared. We're risky. We're out there making waves, not trying to sound like anyone else... and it's working.

What bands do you hope to tour with in the future?
It's a little -known secret that many tours have "buy-ons" that other bands can purchase to join in. We have refused many "buy-ons" because we have been invited to open for many national acts without paying for it. This is the route we have chosen, and we have done well this way, opening for Imagine Dragons, The Used, Stone Temple Pilots, Chevelle, Anberlin, Jane's Addiction, Filter, Foxy Shazam, Falling In Reverse, Middle Class Rut, Civil Twilight, Saving Abel, Framing Hanley, Eye Empire, Cinder, Days of the New, Stroke 9, Smile Empty Soul, Local H, Adema, Eye Empire, and more.

What is coming up in the near future for SUNSHINE AND BULLETS?
We're always writing, and we're always touring, so expect more music in more places. Now we're writing with a new member, and with the addition of the 7-string, it has gotten a little darker and heavier, but also catchier and more epic. We are pushing ourselves to evolve again, and we don't know what we will be when we emerge with the next album.

(Recommended tracks: ...go, Heartbeat, Now or Never, Believe, The End)
